Im buying new memory for my system that I'm going to build this summer, and ive found 2 potential sets. Im looking for 1gb of dual channel ram that will be compatible with the most boards so that when I buy my mobo this summer I don't find out that its not compatible with the ram.

Which would be the better buy? The gskill has better timings, but the giel comes with free shipping and heat spreaders. Which would be the best bang for my buck?

i would go with the top one.. it is cheeper and it has better cas latency.. thats just IMHO though.. maybe others would choose the other.. thats that one i would buy though... :)

Actually they are both the same price, but the top one is more expensive because you have to pay the $4.33 for shipping.

ohh whoops. anyways, i would definatly pay 5 bucks more for better timings. they are both great companys. also, there was a thread in this forum about heatspreaders..with or without. and some people say that they would rather *Not* have heatspreaders, because it traps the heat... i donno.. i will search for it..

it seems more people like them then dont, but i would do some reading there.. saved me like 10 bucks on aftermarket spreaders..
