Well, slow as allways, i still havent been able to order my new stuff,
First the stuff i wanted had yet to come in to stock, and then the cash for it had been used on unexpected expences.
Now it seams i have just one more question, and a weeks wait, then im ordering...

Q:
Should i getTwinMOS Original 512Mb DDR-DIMM PC3700/DDR466 184pin 466MHz CAS2.5

Or

Corsair CMX512A-3500C2 XMS3500 512Mb DDR PC3500 CAS2 434MHz with Heatsink

Not that it matters, but i AM going to run it as a dual channel setup, meaning probobly no real difference as far as what memory is best in this situation... the price differenc off the two memorys just aint there, its 2 sek about a quarter of a dollar..

What the memorys are aimed for:

Gigabyte GA-8KNXP,
P4C2.4Ghz
Sapphire Radeon Atlantis 9500 Pro
2 x 120Gb Maxtor 8Mb cache fluid yada yada...

Got the Radeon at home allready, had to get it while it was in store, or wait long enought for the 9700 or 9800 pro's to drop to the same price...

Thankfull for any sugestion...

clocks > timings. go for higher clock speeds first if you cpu can hack it, then worry about timing.

well, quiestion is, witch memorys are really the faster, as the price are the same, the corsair has a heatspred, and lower default timings... going for a dualchannel setup, with slightly overclocked rams both memorie setups will get me past 3.0Ghz, but not any off em will on a 1:1 ratio...

Thats why i asked, if i release the timings on the Corsair memory, will it go to the same speed as the TwinMos, and is it really a good idea to get a TwinMos - Original memory at all (NOT a TwinMos Winbond, how bigg is the difference here?)

Cluless, this is my first shopping for DDR memories, so NO clue...

Thanks
B!

twinmos is probably faster but is7/ic7 (and others?) are known to have serious problems when using winbond ch5 chips

Well, just guessing, but as thease memorys are sold as "TwinMos-Original" not "TwinMos-Winbond" Its not the same memories.. and that in it self might make it a better choise to go with the Corsair? also been thinking about mushkin or how they spell, problem is, long freight = expensive... going to look in to it more tho...

Thanks
B!

You are correct. And this being the case, I bet anything that you could clock the Corsair equally, with the same high latency if you wanted to. I'd go with the Corsair for sure.
