Microsoft Authorized Reseller

I do not know where to put this, so if it is in the wrong place please accept my apology and move it. I have a small computer company and I would like to become a Microsoft Authorized Reseller. I have looked through their website and not found much on it, and they haven't emailed me back yet so I thought I had better check with all of you since you so often times have the answers. How hard is it to become a Microsoft Authorized Reseller and is it worthwhile? I just don't know what is required or how to go about it. Thanks so much!

Is becoming a registered member or a certified partner the same as being a authorized reseller? I really am having trouble cutting through all of this, please help some more! Thanks!
