Milestones 2009+

Here we are at the beginning of another year and I've already "'08 '09" I don't know how many times so far! It was suggested that a new Milestones thread be started since the old was is soooo long and I thought first of the year was a good place to change. Hopefully by the time this one gets old we'll have at least a piece of our SETI Site up and running. I've tried a couple of times to contact the BIONCStats webmaster to ask about access to the SETI database and need to renew my efforts now that the Holidays are over. I've also stopped posting anything below 100,000, which will be our new "entry level" spot for the Milestones. It's not that anybody below that mark should feel bad but there are well over 300 members above 50,000 and I need to shorten my list!

In addition to a new year and new thread we also have a new points leader!!!

Razorface has finally out-crunched the last contender for 1st Place!
In addition to now being our points leader Razorface has also been our DAC leader for quite some time.

RuthlessRufus has Ruthlessly laid waste to many climbing into the Top 40!

ewl2 has made the coveted 7-Digit Club!

Horribleron has crunched through the 750,000 Milestone!

Mike Mariani has slipped into the Top 75!

Teque5 has passed by the 600,000 Milestone!

Remove has moved beyond the 500,000 Milestone into the Top 100!

Firehawk has also gained a spot the Top 100!

defiant79 has crunched the 400,000 Milestone!

hank123 has been busy making the 250,000 and 300,000 Milestones while moving into the Top 150!

jmorgan has also crunched past the 300,000 Milestone!

Shecky has crossed over the 250,000 Milestone!

Bryan Glenn made a spot for himself in the Top 175!

Chris Schaeffer has gained the Top 200!

ericsean joins us from the Southern Polytechnic State University Team and has been crunching since July '03.

Shabado started SETI just one month ago and has a whole farm already crunching away, everything from a Pent 4 to a Phenom 9850.

My rac will be coming back up; I had an ac failure in the computer room while I was at work and my farm was down for a week or so. But I have a new ac in the computer room and I also have a PII coming this week too, so my rac should show a healthy recovery. Not up to Razorface's level, but anyone else will have problems catching me.

Thanks Muddockor! I was wondering what happened to your RAC. I'm saving money for a new obsession (orchids=greenhouse), so I won't be building anymore crunchers anytime soon. Unless, of course, someone's RAC gets close to mine

Yeah, that I7 is holding its own. Running it at 3Ghz right now, gonna try and get more out of it later this week.

Had a new q6600 come online last week and another coming this week. They are only part time crunchers as they are in use 8 hours a day.

I should be picking back up the pace again soon as well. Think I've got the q6600's cooling issues sorted (decided that it needed to go swimming instead of breathing) and Im going to try for a 4GHz run on it this weekend. That should push me back up to 15k RAC again, with the i7 build starting (I have the CPU and memory thanks to some really good deals at Fry's the last couple weeks. Got the chip (920) for $229 and 6GB kit for $199 (ddr3-1600 CAS 7), just waiting for the 23rd for the DFI LP Jr board to drop and pick up a second 4870. Both machines are going to be getting Windows 7 64 bit. Hoping for 4 GHz from both setups now in liquid setups.

New Milestones

We've had some nice weather here the past week - but that also means I had to break out a room fan to keep the farm in order. Since the furnace wasn't running things got a little toasty with 7 rigs in one room! I still haven't made any headway with the digitized stats but have been pecking away at an off-site Milestones page and hoping for *.xls files eventually. First up this week (well, really last week - I missed it ):
