Mixing memory

Is mixing memory bad? Like if I have the memory below in my sig but wanted another 512 mb stick could I get a different brand but same speed? Does this make sense?

muskin usually gets the best chips and uses excellent pcb's, but since u arent cranking them,if u can find some more good ch5 sticks u shouldnt have too much a prob. just remember youll only go as fast as the slowest stick..
