if you're running blend then it's not really testing your cpu stability. you could try dropping your northbridge voltage to 1.6. you should not need 1.7 for 200fsb. i run into stability issues if i put my nb voltage at 1.7 on my nf7 when at 200fsb.

if you want to test just your cpu stability then use the small ffts test.

Thanks

Thanks cujo. I tried this. went from mem timing of 7-4-4-4-2 to 11-2-2-2-3 and it will do 250fsb but I need 1.8 chipset to do it I dont know how stable though 260 doesnt post. Must be the difference in ram timings from my 512 to my gig that made the difference

AMD is not going to discontinue low voltage Bartons just because a few of us are buying them... They need something to put in laptops... they may stop selling them en-masse to the public and they may tweek the design to foil us...

Semprons. Theres a mobile and desktop version.

Need Help

Ok I had my mobile 2400 35w @ 2.4 then i reset my bios and lost my settings I was 10 hrs prime stable at those settings now i can only get 8hrs 45 minutes stable heres the settings I have tried plus others not listed
8-3-04 turbo 6-3-3-3-2 200fsb 12 multi 1.775 vcore 1.60 agp 1.60 chipset 3.0 vdimm fail 2.0hrs
8-3-04 opt. 7-4-4-4-2 200fsb 12 multi 1.775 vcore 1.60 agp 1.60 chipset 3.0 vdimm fail 8.75hrs
8-4-04 cust 9-5-5-5-3 200fsb 12 multi 1.775 vcore 1.60 agp 1.60 chipset 3.0 vdimm fail 3.5hrs

I have loosened the cas latency from 2.0 to 3.0 on all the settings above still no 10 hrs prime stable like before please any sugestion would be greatly appreciated thanks

I have also disabled usb and my idle temps use to be around 20C cpu diode now its @ 31C

Mobile 2600 IQYHA 0352. Currently running 230*11 or 2530Mhz at 1.8V without really trying. Need better cpu cooling before the vcore goes any higher though. I'm using a Aeroflow right now, so as soon as I can buy a Thermalright, I'll get higher.

well, couldn't really tell ya what the difference is between those two steppings, but about the 2500 vs 2600, I'd go with 2600. I can get 210x12.5 on 1.8v with a 2600 IQYHA 0351. It's pretty good, not good as some I've seen, but good enough.

From 2400-2600 there seems no pattern to which oc's higher. From batch to batch however you can see an obvious difference across the board. 0351 mpmw > 0352 mpmw > 0352 rmpmw seem to be the top 3 for all 2400-2600's all oc'ing about the same. My 2400 IQYHA 0351 MPMW can do 2.7 on air stable, and I am positive it will do better once I get my crap nf7 taken care of(vdd, vbt, vdim vmods and cooling mods to nb/sb/mosfets).

Here's another for the database

AMD 35watt Mobile Athlon xp 2400+ 0401 tpmw iqyha

prime stable(small fft) at 250x10 1.825v (bios) for 13.5 hours

System is in my sig. I'm currently priming at 12 x 200 (2405MHz).

I want to know which steppings I have, but I don't want to uninstall my heat sink and fan. Didn't someone make a little program out there that could pull this information from the processor?

guys,
what do you think about AMD M-Barton 2400+ FJQ4C AQYHA 0409SPMW ?
how far i could oc with Tt Volcano 6 Cu+ ?

Welcome to the forums!

There's really no way to tell how your chip will do in your system, untill you slot it in, and give it a whirl :)

There are too many variables to make a good prediction, your PSU, your Motherboard, the CPU itself, your ambient temperature, your TIM, your willingness to overvolt, etc., all play a very signifigant role in how high your chip will go for you.

However, I'd bet that your processor will do 2400 MHz fairly easily for you, most mobile Bartons do, and yours is a fairly new week.

Good luck, let us know how it works out for you :)
