I have a friend looking for a motherboard to run his PIII600e. It seems there's no more asusp3b-f's in the shops, so could anyone recomend another one?

Asus P3B-F's may be the finest 440BX mainboard ever made. Sadly, they are indeed difficult to find. I may know where to find one in Seattle, but it's iffy. Moving on, AFAIK the only Slot 1 form factor i815e mainboard is the Abit SH6. Once bitten, twice shy, the only Abit mainboard I ever bought was a lemon from hell.

A flipchip would have given you a few more options but for slot 1, a good BX board is a must. I see the P3B-F in stores quite often here in Toronto, like thats going to help you. Anyways, keep looking, its got to be your first choice.
