Modding the HD

Has anyone taken the top off of thier hardrive? It doesnt look to hard replace with a small plexi or lexan window. I have a useless 640 mb hard drive and I might try it on this. does anyone have any ides on how to go about doing this?

why would u want to do that?? i mean wouldnt ur harddrive be hiden from view??

it depends where you put it. I think Hard drives can be put in any position i.e. horizontal, vertical
