Monitor help

Well guys right now I have a monitor (vga only) that has terrible lines running on it. I've tried three different graphics cards and it happens with all of them so it's not the card. I'm looking for something around 20" with dvi port.

How dose this monitor look?

Or if anyone has any other suggestions that would be great. My current card right now is a GTX 660 so I don't want to big of a res that my performance will suffer.

Thanks for the reply. How much of a performance loss do you think I'll see with 1600x900 vs 1080p?

I never have a 1600x900 monitor so i can't tell you that but i thing it will be a lot diffrent.(my monitor is a 42" LED 120hz TV)
Probably like when you compare a laptop screen with a good desk top monitor
But just to make sure, why don't you walk in to a electronic store like BEST BUY or FRY electronic and compare the 2 diffrent resolution yourself.

Not that its linear or anything, but lets do some math...

1920x1080 = 2,073,600 pixels to render
1600x900 = 1,440,000 pixels
