what type of software do i use to monitor my temps and everything? i don't plan on O/Cing this comp. I am, however, planning on getting a new mobo and a new cpu and overclock those. I'd just like to know that i can use the program before i start to O/C stuff.

I like motherboard monitor. It gives tons of options and is perfect for me.

You might also want to try CpuCool.

Bare in mind, motherboard manufacturers usually include their own monitors for their motherboard. You might prefer to use those instead of 3rd party ones.
