I'm trying to overclock my duron 800 and i was using tom's hardware as a basis (http://www4.tomshardware.com/cpu/00q3/000711/ ).

i was wondering what information i would need to know (i.e. fsb, etc)... I have a crappy mobo (fastfame 8vtav) but am planning to get a new one. My present one doesn't have anything to change the fsb, clock speed, multiplier, voltage, anything. basically, i can change the clock speed and voltage, but will i need to change the fsb and stuff?

sorry to ask all these questions, but i'm a newbie at this...

Welcome to the forum!

right now, I think your best bet would be to read as much as you can, and wait until you get a new mobo before you start overclocking.
You can try to change the multiplier and the voltage right on the chip using the bridges, but that would almost be too much trouble. And no, you don't have to change the fsb if you don't want to, it just helps you get a better oc if you use it with the mutliplier.

good luck
