I have seen lots of suggestions to cool the northbridge with a blue orb... how important is this? my motherboard temp is currently at 36C at full load... too high?

Mine runs 1C over ambient full load or idle. It's cooled with proper case ventilation, a Socket 7 HSF on the Northbridge, small HSFs on the voltage regulators and a passive HS on the clock generator.

Here is a pic. The clock gen HS was added after this pic was taken and added 1 MHz to my FSB.
