hi can anyone tell me how to find out what make my motherboard is it has an Intel chipset award bios and that's all I know i want to flash my bios is there any programs that i can run to tell what make it is or is it printed on the motherboard i have a p3450 in it and I have tried to clock it to 550 but it still say 450 on boot up please help thanks

If you go to this site http://www.ping.be/bios/index.html then they have a list of motherboard manufactures by bios number.

When you turn your PC on, hit the pause button on your keyboard (pause/break) on post, then write down the numbers at the bottom of the screen for your bios. Also check what manufacturer of bios you have Award or AMi.

Go to the site, look for a match on the number and then it will tell you what manufacture the board is.

Hope this helps.

thanks that did help But yep theres a but my board is a-max i440bx-w977tf-bx-440b-sh
but on the site its ends with vh does this matter what should i do

It could be a slight miss print on the sight. best thing to do is when you have located the manufacturer of the board is to try to email the manufacturers of possible and see what they say.

Alternativly that site i gave you has also got a forum and contact addresses, you could try posting something on there to get a response.

Glad I could help.
