First off, thanks. Based on my current ntfs.sys thread, I'll be reinstalling XP tonight. I may as well try your new BIOS with the current HPT370 bios in it. What XP drivers should I preload?

Thanks,

LJ

Hi, Pls forgive me for cutting into the thread, but we did this and just booted off XP cd, hit F6 went to repair.using the abit floppy drivers..and was OK.
PS when you run 2.5/500 can you run 3dMark2001 w/o crashing? We can run stable at 2.4 with SuperPi or Sandra burnin but 3DMark crashes above 2.2 .Used to have 25 and 26 post errors.but 38b reduced it to only when hardware is cold. Using FIX for agp/pci. Also weird is Bios sees RDRAM as ECC...pieces are marked as non-ecc Sandra identifies them with the proper SyncMAX (NEC) codes for 288 ECC running ECC or NON ECC in bios no difference.Think they had excess ECC and remarked them to clear inventory(?)

The new bios has the 231 HighPoint Bios. To do the initial install you can use the HighPoint default drivers that comes with XP but I recommend updating them to the 231 drivers for best performance.
