i have heard that this mobo can't be overcloked is that true (i hope not)

mzzl henkie

My Celeron is on a MSI 6309 and it rocks at overclocking... FSB all the way up to 200mhz, +-.3VCore, monitoring and the works.

You need to find out what that 'Lite' is there for...

i have that prog fuzzy logic but that doesn't work
they say that in a lite version some chips are changed
how have you overclock your mobo??? bios settings en they?????

thanks

Fuzzy Logic works on my computer, but I dont use it because it'll usually freeze after some time.

I justuse the bios options. Go in the bios, then i think it's Hardware Management (or something similar, im not on the computer and dont want to walk downstairs to look, hehe :) ) In there you can change the FSB and VCORE which will be set to auto when you first get in.

Good luck.... what CPU are you using in it?

check the msi website. It may not as it could be an *ack* Oem version. But check their site first, I am fairly sure SoftFSB will work though.

í'm using a intel celeron 466 Mhz

Thats not a great overclocking chip. Your probably trying to overclock too much if it aint working. I can really only see you getting to 75mhz FSB. 83 is proabably too high for that particular chip to get because its a Celeron 1.

So try changing to 75, then give it a go for 83 with maybe raising the vcore a couple notches (make sure your cooling well). If it doesn't work drop down to 75 cause that'll be the max for it.

You might wanna look into selling that chip to someone and picking up a celeron 600 if you have money(i dont ;( ) cause that'll overclock alot better than what you have now.

Good luck !

MSI 6309 LITE

I have the same motherboard (MSI 6309 LITE). I did not know it was the "LITE" version when I get it...
The Msi web site Says that one of differences between this board and the "NON LITE" version is the you can't overclock the "LITE" one. In fact this is not tatally true. The fact is that this motherboard would'nt allow you to change you cpu voltage settings...

I had a celeron 400, and I managed to push it to 570 mhz (fsb = 95) and it was rock stable(bur I had to change my cooling system to a Global win WBK38 6800 RPM).

when I first changed the FSB it sometimes wouldn't boot , and when it did that , i I had to do is to push the restart button once, I then it would work.

Now I get a pentium III 750@966 Mhz. but I had to connect somme cpu pins (VSS,VID2,VID3...) to raise the default votage from 1.72V to 2.03v.

be carful when you raise cpu voltage, !!!!
good luck
