I installed the newest catalyst drivers and directx 9 . Everything was working well yesterday then this morning my monitior would not come out of suspend state. Pressed reset button and got video signal .
In windows it was working as it should then monitior blinked , then went blank. Just black screen.
I disabled monitior shut down in powermanagement. And tried a few different settings in bios but this problem remains.
Is there anyone out there useing a Radeon with this motherboard who can help me set the correct settings for bios and windows to make this card work?

I've got a 9800SE softmodded to Pro (soon to be FireGL :) ) on a K7D-L. I've got everything enabled that people say not to (fastwrites, etc) and it still seems to work fine :)

What power supply are you using? Did you experience the same problems with
other, weaker video cards?

I'm having very similar problems but with my Ti-4600 and my Iwill MPX2. I tried
an old weaker card and everything is rock stable again and I know the Ti-4600
isn't defective.

From asking and looking around there was a strong possibility those problems
were power supply related.

I'm currently using an Antec TP 430w psu but my new OCZ PS 520w should be
here in a few hours.

I'd gladly let you know what's up once I install it if you want.

Powersupply i am useing is Pcpower & Cooling 510 watt, dont think it has anything to do with that part

Maybe the video card is bad ,

It could just be an overheating video card. The psu that you have is probably one of the best psu's made, so that shouldnt be it. Have you tried a different video card?

I ran a 9800 Pro in my AMD dually for a few months, with no problems, at all.

I now have a new P4 rig with the 9800 Pro in it.

One piece of advice I can give you is to get the best Radeon drivers available, which you won't get from ATI;)

Go to www.omegacorner.com and get his modified drivers. They are the best drivers you can get for an ATI card. He modifies and distributes Nvidia drivers, too. They are simply awesome. He is one person that I have gladly sent a donation to, because his work is just so good.

*EDITED the word 'makes' to 'modifies and distributes'

I'm a 100% with cmcquistion on the Omega drivers.

I softmodded my Ti-4600 into a Quadro to use Maya PLE. It ran OK but
then I tried the Omega drivers and the difference was night and day.

the card still works in everything but windows? If so, then i wouldn't give up that easily. Obviously the card can display 2d, so therefore something in windows is messing it up. Have you tried safemode? I would double check the drivers.
