I just picked up an MSI K7T that was an OEM for Gateway, and has a Gateway BIOS. Does anyone know if I can do a BIOS update from MSI without buggering up the board?

take your chance. I can't really give you an advice here. if the mobo parts are all identical with MSI K7T mobo than I would go for it. most bios chip are identical except what is sore inside. I would also save the original bios in a floppy just in case.
