ok, it has 2 ide slots for 4 devices beside ram, but can the two at bottom right that are used for rai (i think?) be used IN ADDITION to these as regular ide slots. ie have 8 devices connected? does that make sense? im tired ;-)

The bottom connectors are IDE3 and 4 to support RAID 0 (striping) or RAID 1 (mirroring)...using up to an additional 4 drive (identical drives for proper RAID function)...You will/may not be able to access the last 4 drive unless you install the Promise RAID SW..
8 Drives so make sure you have a big PSU.

Yeah .. it supports 8 harddisks but I dont think we'll need that many though Anyway, its a good board at a cheap price.
