Hi,
I have learned everything I know about overclocking from this website and man do I have to say it has taking me from knowing nothing to a little more than nothing ;-) hehe j/k. I have a K7t-Turbo motherboard married with a Duran 800 and I have gotten it up to 1027mhz. I set the multiplyer to x9 and the FSB is at 114mhz. I have 512mb of pc133 cas2 ram. This is where I get confused, I cant seem to set the multiplyer any higher without it ending up to have less mhz or I cant get it to boot. I havent tried every setting yet but im pretty sure this is one of the quickest settings I have gotten to work without this baby not turning on. Then I read in the manual that theres a jumper thats meant for the Amd Duron processors to enable the FSB at 266mhz. So I thought I could try that to get my processor speed greater, but I have tried everything to get that to run and it never has worked. Hrmmm.... My computer is running faster than I ever though it would with a 60$ duran processor but I would like to take it to the max speed @1200mhz. I'm pretty sure I have a cool enough room to run it, I did a weekend project and put a pair of 4.25 inch fans on the left side panel sucking air out and another pair of turbo speed 3.25 inch fans on the top of the case right over the ram blowing air in, not including the standered chassi fans in the front and back. I also have a brand new Frigidaire room air conditioner that could cool a room that has 80 more square feet than mine ;-0.

My System
MSI K7T-Turbo lite edition
Duron 800@1027mhz
FSB@114mhz

Voltage levels in PC alert: Vcore 1.86
Visiontek Geforce 2 Ultra
Maxtor 15 gig UltraDMA ata 100
512mb pc133 kingston ram @Cas2

You are a bit optimistic and am unlikely to obtain 1200 mhz from a Duron 800. The most you could expect is around 1100 mhz although you will probably require a motherboard modification to increase the voltake to do this.
I run my Duron 800 @ 1050 mhz ( 7.5 x140 ) on a Abit KT7a-Raid, I would suggest looking at the CPU database on the front of this site to see what that average overclock is and reading the beginners guides for ideas.. I would personally suggest try lowering your multiplier and raise your FSB as this improves the overall system performance, but remember to keep an eye on your tempratures

I just took a look in MSI's site. From what I can see, they don't offer a KT7 TURBO "LITE" version, they list either a KT7 TURBO (MS-6330 V 3.0B) and the 6330 LITE (MS-6330LE V1.0C). The biggest difference between these two motherboards is the chipset. The TURBO versions use the VIA KT133A where as the LITE version uses the older VIA KT133. As has been documented many times in ths forum as well as many others, the original KT133 chipset will seldom support a FSB much above the 107 / 110MHz range. This being said, if you do have the "LITE" version of this board you're going to have limited success overclocking by way of the FSB.

Good Luck.

Welcome to forum..

I new in here too and i got a lot knowledge
by this people. They 're good ..

since your mobo same is mine here the thing
i do in my K7t Turbo.. to make 1 gig 133 Mhz

1. flash your bios to new bios (custom or 2.8 ver; i recomend custom bios)
2. unlock your duron (close L1)
3. Close all your L7; this to puting up your initial Vcore to 1,85.
3. in fsb 100 MHz mode; make multiplier to 6 x. save it.
4. unjumper the J7 jumper near the tail of agp card. careful you must off your power.
5. Power in again. Hop la.. you are in 6 x 133 Mhz now. this one step ahead
6. to go to 1000 MHz; you must pay attention
on your temp, your HSF must be good enough and your air circulation must flow.
7. if you have the point 6; now you must change you mult step by step to go on 7.5 x .
set your Vcore 1,85 so you defenitly have the juice.
8. Dont worry about temp raise higher than 60C if you have good HSF . mine have 67C .on the first shoot . This is the turbo man.. he he..

SO do your home work ..
try it..

I must say the Turbo is the bombest (is that a word?) mobo out there for the econo-overclocker. With this KT-133a chipset, you just can't go wrong. Any advice you need on this M/B feel free to hollar at me.
