I am totally new to idea of O/C as I am a newbie - in all entirety - bar that fact would you say that the purchase of a MSI K7T266 Pro would ease my new hobby that I am about to embark on :) ???

I would hold on on buying the MSI kt7266 PRO

it seems that alot of people are having trouble getting this motherboard stable

I was planning to buy one my selve to check it out
maybe I'll still do :)

Neo do you have another MOBO suggestion if not the MSI ?
 
It's true that there were some problems with the MSIK7T266. That was hardware and BIOS related, because the board was pushed in the market
as the first KT266 board. However these issues are solved by several BIOS upgrades and a change in the hardware. All board are now shipping with a change resistor position.

You can regard the MSI K7T266 now as the fastet and most feature rich KT266 board, maybe until the Asus A7V266 will retail.

Any idea when the Asus A7V266 will be available?

And what about Abit? Have they announced a KT266 board yet?
