I have MSI KT7-R w/ 1 GHZ Atholon FBZ 266 wont go faster than 1.05 GHZ!!!! Everytime that I set the FBZ higher than 140 my comp wont even get into the boot screen! When that happens, I have to stick in this jumper that sets my mobo to 100FBS and everything is fine after I reset the BOIS and then take out the jumper. I also can change the multiplier in BOIS but when I check it in Windows, my multiplier is set back to 7.5!! I can't overclock to anything faster than 1048mghz while still being stable! Someone please help cause I NEED/want to get to 1.1 or posibly 1.2 (but the 1.2 is a bit fast)

For one, you need to unlock that CPU's L1 bridges with a pencil, conductive pen, or conductive paint. Next, Have you tried lapping the HSF on the northbridge of the chipset? Every motherboard I've personally had I have needed to lap the HSF because it was concave and wouldn't properly cool my chipset at higher FSB's. Also, your CPU should go to about 1200 on default voltage so up it when you start getting close to that. If all this fails, you may have a bad motherboard or CPU, and Ihope this isn't the case for ya, and you will need to RMA it for another and try it again. I hope this helps in your quest for speed.
