Multimeater?

I just got a multimeeter to test the 5v line from my power supply. My computer is acting like there is no CPU and I am trying to determin if the PSU is way outa wack, CPU dead, or mobo DOA.

So how do I use this thing? never used one before. And what various things should I test?

I just need some general info. Like what I should be setting the multimeter to, The PSU says 100-120Vac/200-240Vac so should the multimeter be set to 250V?.

And I don't really know how to read the scale:

When I test the molex connecters with the multimeter set to 250 on the DC side I get a reading of 50 from the yellow wire, and between 0 and 50 on the red wire.

Is there some way to test the motherboard to see if the CPU is getting power?

Set the dial to "20volts" or anything a lil over 5v like 10v and the AC/DC to "DC" Then connect the leads to the molex. OHm is the resistance in a line. If you set the voltage too high, it wont read the voltage right.

Ok, is there anything that I can test on the mobo to try and determin if it is dead?
