Multiplier questions

Hi, Ijust built a system with the K7S5A and an XP 1800.

Tell me if im correct about something....

It would be pointless to connect the L1 bridges on the XP if Im using this mobo, since the BIOS doesnt allow me to change the multiplier. To change the multiplier I have to cut/connect different bridges to get different multipliers.


But if I want to change the multiplier by cutting/connecting, would I still have to connect the L1 bridges, or would that procedure be only if I was able to change the muliplier in the BIOS?
