Ive ran 3dmark on my new system a few times and my scores seem a bit low, i scored just above 3000 when i overclocked my video card as much as i could without artifacts, and my CPU runing at 2.24GHZ. I know the card is crap but shouldnt i still be getting a slightly higher score?

Edit: forgot to mention this is in 3dmark 2001 SE

You should be getting a bit higher. It could be alot of stuff clogging your HDD. That happened to me once, reformat and I got from 10k to 14k.

*bump*

Still dont know why my score is like this...and i dont know why i saiid 3000, i ment to say a little under 3000.

This is a comparison of my pc and another persons who seems to have a similar setup yet he scores much more: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=6172905

whats wrong????!!

P.S I had taken the test right after i finished reformating, reinstalling, and overclocking my new pc.

my first guess is they tweaked their system to look as ugly as possible to increase the framerate and you didn't.like setting everything to performance, lowering the level of detail, turning off table fog, etc.

:'( actually yes i did, i set all the detail settings in my nvidia drivers to high performance instead of quality, no AA or AF etc etc. :(

EDIT: Just found i wasnt using the newest drivers, i thought i had updated, im going to install these i just downloaded and see if it helps any.

EDIT2: The nvidia drivers helped, it raised my score to 2975, i think the improvement came from the vertex shader test, i saw a huge increase in performance there, it was kinda of smooth and not a big skippy mess like before.
