I was asked to have a thread that documents my build. As it stands i have my last major part being delivered any moment from Amazon and Fedex.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DTHMPWFR?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
I have a vertical mount for it but it takes up alot of room but i may use it still after i see the GPU and its size. I do alot of overclocking and tweaking so i need access to my battery as i havent looked into my mobos bios flashback feature. If you notice this started as a budget build that went crazy. Ill be OC'ing my CPU, Ram, GPU and possibly still throwing a bit of Raid 0 in it.

Ill be asking for help as i just know enough to be dangerous so help and support is appreciated.
My build:
Asus Tuf B650 plus wifi
AMD Ryzen 9 9900X 12 core. Going to undervolt and overclock.
ID Cooling AIO in push/pull
TCreate 2x16GB 32GB of ram which ill be replacing with the same ram but moving up too 96GB next week.
Corsair RM1200x Shift PSU
Corsair T705 2TB gen5 NVMe Windows drive
Corsair T500 4TB Gen$ game drive
Sapphire Pulse RX 9070 XT
Acer 32" 4K curved monitor.

If you have nice comments or questions i appreciate answering or helping as ill have many questions myself along the way.
I am on the hunt for a good 2.1 sound system around $100, Amazon or Newegg if possible.

Edit: Here is a list of things ill be getting when i get paid in a week.
Klipsh powered bookshelf speakers
Klipsh powered 10" subwoofer
96GB 2x48GB sticks of CL32 TCreate DDR5
and im sure ill be looking for something else.

FROM A PREVIOUS THREAD........

Asus Tuf B650 plus wifi, i cant get the wifi working so im on Cat5
Updating Windows didn't do it? I'm surprised.

Did you install the driver for the Wi-Fi?

You can find all your drivers here - https://www.asus.com/us/motherboard...download?model2Name=TUF-GAMING-B650-PLUS-WIFI

I do have to watch one of the drives in those NVMe slots as its my Game drive which is a Gen4 Crucial T500 4TB
You don't. We mentioned it wouldn't throttle with how you're using it. Outside of initial game loads (which don't run long enough to cause throttling), and level changes, the drive will mostly just sit there idle. You can trust us and remove the heatsinks and just install it on your board under the existing heatink if you'd like to avoid your fitment issues with the vertical mount.

I don't think there's much in the way of good sound system for around $100. You can look for a cheaper 2.0 Edifier around that mark when it goes on sale like the 1280T or 1280DB. Trying to add a subwoofer into that cost is going to be difficult as well. May be able to find a cheap/used Klipsch 2.1 system for around that mark?

I personally run a set of Vanatoo T0s (few years old now) that have an output for subwoofer if I ever want to add one, but they've been solid for a few hundred dollars. I know that a lot like the Kanto speakers as well for a decent "cheaper [read: not audiophile priced]" set

The device manager had the wifi errored out so i uninstalled them and still i cant get the drivers to work.
I know that driver site very well, Ill get this fixed sooner or later. I ran into this before when i didnt have the driver during my windows install.
Yes, i agree that Gen3 and Gen4 drives will be fine behind the stock heatsink. The T705 needs air but i think the GPU may blow air over it.

Janus ill look into that.I have the knowledge to build subwoofers but it isnt work building your self cost wise. ill be searching everything you suggested TY!

Not ideal, but not much you can do. That drive will be better off with a vertical GPU as at least it's not sitting on top and soaking up all the heat from the drive. Your natural airFLOW should take care of it.,

They moved my package back to the point it may be 8pm tonight. Oh i can do alot actually as i have many fans i can slap right on top of the T705
Currently it has 3x 120mm fans blowing right at it. but i can put a 40mm or 60mm fan on it if need be.

I want to run the GPU a day or so and see what will work best for me. If i remove the two fans on the bottom plate the card will be starving for cool air.
And seeing im gonna OC it good the more airflow the better. Ill eventually be disassembling it and using high end thermal tape and good grease to it.

Ill be honest and i havent even seen how the GPU does but this build has me amazed. from off too windows is just mere seconds.
I will say the ram is gonna be the hardest to OC, It has shown little wiggle room for speeding up.

I got my Saphire 9070XT in today and finished putting it in and went to wire its power plugs and ill be damned if i only had 1 8pin cable. i had to use one on my mobo and that left me short.
to top it off im broke says my debit card. i have a way and im gonna try and get one here asap. Ill post pics later as im to pissed to mess with them now.

anyone know if this is the 8 pin plug i need for my GPU?

That power supply should have multiple 8pins. The specs says it came with 8 pcie connectors

Are you looking at the CPU cable which is different from pcie?

The first bench is my 6000Mhz CL30 ram 32GB stock speeds.
Second pic is my rig and 4K monitor, I hate RGB!
3rd is my new Sapphire 9070XT i cant use as i need another cable to power it.
The fourth pic is my ram OC'd too 6400Mhz CL32 and it flew!

it has room to plug them in just not enough cables, It was a refurb so its hard to say just what is missing. Says "Type 5" on the psu plug on the 1 i have.
Think the one i linked will work?

Dang man i dont know what i need, I just know i need a GPU 8pin plug and the psu end says Type5. its like a small 8 pin on 5the psu side.
It looks like the second cable down.

Maybe take a picture of what all you have left for the cables? They are almost certainly going to be 6+2 pin cables.

I wouldn't be touching those chinesium cables with a 10 foot pole. Where did you get that power supply from? Refurb or not it should have come with every cable. The website I linked is the official page with the number of every one of the cables that were to come with it.

If you do indeed have the 1200w power supply every one of those should be accounted for. And I'd personally use the straight 6+2 pin without the adjoined dual connector, but even using the duals would be fine (I prefer not to use the secondary attached ones)

yes one is powering the mobo and i have the one for the PSU, Ill look for a 6+2 and that may work or at least cause a fire.
The PSU was like new from Amazon but almost half price. Its a beast and ive only seen the fan on once.

EDIT: ok i found two 6+2 connectors that say PCIe on the psu end. do it and pray?

ok i take it that im set to go. Ive never owned a card that had anything over a 4 pin molex back many years ago.

Edit, Shes working like a one legged hoe! not to set it up!

Nothing to pray about, those are the correct cables. The 8pin that are 4+4 are absolutely the wrong cables and would prob have burnt out your card like ED said.

Shes all smiles now.gonna do drivers and adjustments so ill be busy rest of the night as im gonna try out a game that gave me 15FPS with the iGPU. its called "Stray" if you ever hear of it.

I have several games as i use that Xbox game pass, i want Cyberpunk 2077 which ill buy next week.

Im looking to buy a simple sound setup and these Klipsh setup 2.1 look like they would do the trick. My mobo has a good looking sound setup on it so i think it will do well.
this set of bookshelf speakers that were suggested look good also. Any opinions?

My last bit of fun for the night, I wish i could get PCMark running. Everything is stock when i benched it but my ram was tweaked from 6000Mhz too 6200Mhz
once this thing is fully OC'd it should be wild.

Just make sure your speakers are powered/has an integrated amp or you'll need an amp for unpowered units. ;)
