Hey guys, well got this system a few weeks ago, originally with a scythe ninja rev.b cooler, and my temps for load at 2.8ghz went as high as 60 degrees C according to TAT. So I returned that and replaced it with a Thermalright Ultra 120. Now my load temps are 49 degrees, (one hour orthos).

For the CPU voltage I kicked it down abit, the BIOS settings with the DS3 don't quite match up with the CPUZ voltage, currently in CPUZ it's running at 1.184v (BIOS lists it as 1.175v).

Got Geil DDR800 Cas4 Ram running at cas5 latencies at 900Mhz, 2.2v. It's rated for use between 1.9v and 2.3v.

Overall very happy with it, don't think I can push the CPU much further without better RAM, any higher clocks will just stress it, but perhaps the memory has a bit more room in it.

Got a 7900GTO, which I run mostly at stock, but the nVidia drivers and tuner are very temperamental currently, so I'm avoiding that until those issues are sorted out (although it was overclocked for the 3dmark score shown).

looking' good so far. keep on clocking, i bet your ram has some more left in it. :)

dont use cpu-z for cpu voltage is horribly wrong. use easytune to get the cpu voltage or check your bios.basicly your running the EIST voltage at 2.8ghz and if it is stable then that is really cool. i havent tested how far mine would go with EIST volts. though i wonder about your temps with the ninja as with mine and @3ghz i get close to "coretemp" 60c sometimes.

Thanks man, I think I'll gently try and get some more out of it over the next few days, I doubt I'll be able to get to 1Ghz DDR RAM speed though.

Ok just looked at it in Easytune 5. Ignore the system and cpu fan warnings. I'm not using the system fan connector atm and the CPU fan is more than capable of running at that speed. :)

just curious, what type of car are we looking at there?

Hehe :) It's an Alfa 8C Competizione. Gorgeous V8 coupe, based loosely on a Maserati platform. Going to buy one when I have the funds lol.

Hey NN, post your VID number from CoreTemp as well. Forgot what it was but theres some discussion going on in another thread i'd like to add that as well since if not mistaken its low, quiet low.

Well apparently it's currently at 1.2625v. By the way what is the Tjunction under the CPU temperature reading section? Just curious.

tjunction is the highest the die can get before thermal shutdown/meltdown.
