Okay, this is something I've wanted to do for a VERY long time. I picked out all of the parts and will post them. I want to know if they are all okay to work with each other, if I'm finished looking, and ready to order?

If something isn't right I'd love advice on what's missing or how to fix it.

here are the links!

There is all is! Any replies would be amazing!

Thank you!

Also I have some other fan for my HDD, CPU, and GPU on the list. I have these, because I do intense gaming, and some heavy editing/recording and stuff (thus the amount of ram)

Edit: Also the OS is windows 7 64bit!

You're on a roll. What's the budget? If you can work an SSD into the mix for your OS and primary apps you'd enjoy load times. Otherwise, looking good. Might want to look at the forums regarding video cards, lots of good input for thought, although you aren't slacking with what you've picked out.

Well the final total with the 6970 comes tooo $1811.50 plus shipping and handling for parts. If I go with the 7950 it will be around $1897 plus the shipping and handling. Surprisingly CHEAPER than I though it would be ha ha. Of course those totals are with the exra heatsink and fans I have lined up. Cheaper if I would just go with the in the box fans.

Technically I HAVE an SSD picked out. I've just never split and OS and regular files between two hard drives. Really I don't have a clue how ha ha. I would love to put my OS and some games on the SSD and then have my editing stuff and junk all on the HDD?

What's the amount of money that you would prefer to spend?

What are you going to do with it (be specific)? If gaming, what games? If other, what software?

Do you prefer it to be small? Quiet? Live somewhere where electricity is ridiculously expensive?

Any other preferences?

Ya.. If it's a gaming rig only. Get a 2500K, stick to 8GB of RAM. and Definitely get an SSD. I cannot justify a brand new build of this type of budget without an SSD!! ><
