Power went out last night and I haven't turned on my machines again. It also doesn't help that Southern Michigan will be getting up into the mid-90's with the heat index in the upper 90's to just breaking into the 100's.

Saturday I had to work on my roof. It was so hot that it melted my sneakers. Well, the glue that holds the soles of my shoes. Pieces kept falling off my shoes. I still have work to do up there too.

Next week we'll get cooler and I can get back to it.

I'll help out. I moved my "old" Z690 upstairs PC, downstairs today and added a 4070 Super to the fold. My warranty 4070 Ti Super comes back tomorrow so I'll be adding that in. I have an RTX 3080 that never sold so that will be in the Old Old 2600K PC as I get Ubuntu folding. I will not be running a 3080 for too long tho. Can't do anything about the Monkeys but Farwalker and P4 need to be off my threat list.

Summer of fun for them is coming to an end. :sn:

I thought the servers were down for the 7PM update. When I went down to add the GPU warranty return , found out I kicked the breaker.( 2 1300W PC's) It shouldn't have as its a 20A circuit and only 3 GPU's were folding but I have 2 circuits there and plugged it into the other one. The returned MSI GPU is folding. Will see how it does through the next 24 hrs.

Yeah. If both PSUs could take 1300w/ea, that's 2,600 watts. A 20 amp circuit maxes out at 2,400 but you should only ever use 80% which is 1,920 watts. Plus, if your breaker is old or has tripped a few times, it will trip prior to it's limit of 2,400 watts.

I put my farm (2 machines) on separate, but equal, 20 amp circuits. I added other gear to each circuit in a way as to balance the load to my best calculations. Not had an issue.

I have no doubt that you'll make some serious points.

I'm still down. Some nearby towns are losing power over all this heat. I know you guys in the South don't see low to mid 90's as hot but we do. Plus our electrical grid is not optimized for all of us to run our AC like this. At home, we've made an effort to reduce our electric usage in favor of AC. Thank God for AC! :coffee: (I couldn't find a fire emoji so hot steam is the best I could do.)

Yeah I didn't think I needed to post the math...So I said 3 GPU's.

If we do the math off of that it's no where close to 2400W. I added the circuit 2 years ago breaker and 8' of 12 wire is new.

In any case it kicked for whatever reason. I honestly think I have been running 4 GPU's on this circuit.

Maybe I need to turn off the RGB.:giggle:

We had a power outage from 9pm until like 6am Monday night here in WI, took both @KeeperOfTheButch 's farm at his WI house offline and mine. Really tanked our PPD. But having his farm in florida too does help keep things a little decentralized, so we didn't completely go offline!
