Yes, The order was stopped,

But after hearing about the vdimm problems im kinda happy coz i can now think about whether getting this board is going to be successful or not. I have a 2.4c and some musklin pc3500 black lvl2,

Ive heard the asus P4P800 is good but needs a vdimm mod, what i want to know is do it involve soldering? hehe :p

Also is the abit a17 ( 3.2vdimm not sure if thats the mobo) the only abit board with 3.2 vdimm ? excect the max3's so-called 3.2 vdimm

Also with the ram that i have is 3.2vdimm going to be needed to hit say 3.5/3.6 5:4 (im pretty sure im gonna need more than 2.8:rolleyes: )

Cheers :)

Order up a AI7. Its an outstanding board with excellent voltage regulation and it officallysupports Prescott. I got one to replace my Max3 and I couldn't be happier.

Great :p how is ur overclock is it a stable board when it comes to this?

Anyone know about the vdimm mod on the P4P800

I running a 100% stable 3.525Ghz with my 3.0C. Its nice having the 3.2v vDimm since my Corsair 3200LL mem need it to run 1:1 at 235fsb.

ooooooooo i think this will be the board i get unless the P4P800 has a simple (A) vdimm mod haha

Cheers :)

You don't have to solder the volt mod for the p4p or p4c but you do need smd grabbers (which you probably will have to order). See the sticky in the Intel Asus Motherboard forum. Bare in mind that the 875 is faster than the 865. I had an AI7 for a week and it worked perfectly, however, I lost some cpu points in benchmarks. But currently, the AI7 and the Epox v2.0 are the only 2 boards I know that give stock 3.2-3.3 vdimm.

From personal expeirence, and having the willingness to volt mod, the Asus boards will give you a higher oc most of the time.

The AI7 is also very affordable.

Thats why I was kinda perturbed when it didn't come w/two cables. I run two Maxtor DiamondMax Plus9's in SATA Raid-0 and its more than double the speed of my WD 120gb SE PATA drive in Sandra benches.
