My phone was kinda messed up so I took it apart for cleaning and decided to fix my horrible and lazy paintjob that I did by simply masking and spraying.

Here's some pics:

The best part is that now it works, and the paint shouldn't just flake off like it did when I sprayed it with high-temp engine enamel because I was bored.

This is what the phone originally looked like a year ago. All the dropping and throwing it around really took it's toll and it was time for a rennovation.

Another awesome thing about it is it's going to match the project case I'm working on!

Yeah, that's the funny thing. The phone didn't work before I took it apart, there must have been some loose/dirty connections so I really didn't have anything to lose. I was going to buy a Razr if I couldn't get mine working or it just didn't turn out right, but I saved myself $200 from keeping the old one, and it works great now.

Lol, it works now! That is so seriously cool - mines a Nokia 3510i - basic little phone, but does the trick. That sure looks sweet!

2 more post remaining before I get my avatar!

Here's a pic of the part I had to replace with solder beads. It's the connection from the 2nd main circuit board to the speaker. It used to have a little rubber peice that made the connection, but it disappeared somehow so I made it with solder lol.

If you look at the picture, you might think that the beads are touching. Well they're not, and they're exactly the same height which was very important otherwise only one point would touch.
