my northbridge mod

did volt mod to the th7II-r board, and my northbridge temps were through the roof. i had to get them down. so i used a old cpu t-bird cooler, that wouldnt work anyway and took it apart, i then proceeded. for now i only have one fan, but i could go with the double stuff if i have too.

stacked fans dont work, this is becaus ethe air is coming off the first fans fins at and angle and cannot be caught by the second.

appart from that, nice mod.

used super glue to mount mounting plate directly to factory northbridge heat sink.

I see you got rid of the Corbage The stacked fans would work if you could find counter rotating fans.....I've never seen any but thats what you would need if your going to stack them.

PS JD, I am jeolous as heck....I can only dream of having a setup like yours....
