My P4 2.4C wont get Hot why

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How do I get my chip hot

I have my 2.4c Overclocked to 3.3ghz

Now I have tried different Motherboards and I cat the same thing.

P4 2.4C GHz (@ 3.3 GHZ)
Asus P4C800 E- DELUXE
OCZ Pc4200 cl 2.5 512MB
Stock Intel HeatSink AS 5
Asus P4C800 E Deluxe
Antec TruePower 480 watt
ATI Radeon 9600XT=@ 540/330
WD RAPTOR 2X36.6 (RAID-0)
WD 5400rpm 2x40gb (RAID 1)

That is my system

The problem is that, I connot get my processor Hot at all.

I run prime 95 and folding overnight and will only go to 44 c then I lapped my heatsink and will only go to 39c.

I have tried Toast,SuperPi and prime 95 and Nothing will ever even get my chip hot

It seems I ahve a Mirricle chip or somthing

ahhah indeed you do, check ur stepping and u probably have a3.2EE (w the l3 cache disabled)... Goddamn ur freakin lucky...

btw u should be jumping for joy right now...

its no wonder chip, it MAY be a sl6z3 (like mine ;)) and yes it would be a cut down xeon aka a cut down EE. it was the hot ("hot as in popular) chip around oct-jan, most easily do 3.4+ with stock (or very close to it) volts.

don't kid yourself into thinking its impervious to heat tho. you are running a asus board, it could easily be reading the temps 10 or more C too low. my abit reports 53-56 under full load at 3.458ghz with 1.575 (bios), 1.52 (load) volts. I've seen it as high as 68 with my room stifling hot, and my air duct removed. still fuctioned flawlessly. I do beleive my board reads temps a bit on the high side, i'm guessing around 50 is my actual temp, probably around the same as your actual temps.

some have hit 4gig on this chip, it takes a SERIOUS amount of modding on the mobo, but the chip has potential. :D

Oh man, I hope my 2.4c does 3.4 easily.... Awaiting the AS5 to give it an all out go though :-(

Asus board tend to read the temp a little lower(something like 10C). Why I think so is because I install a temp probe right under my cpu and the reading show it's about 55C on full load at 1.65 vcore. But on the Asus Probe Utility or MBM it only show about 44-45C in which I think the board reading is quite off.
