Hmm, my 3dmark05 High Quality score suffered. The CPU score was around 7000 points instead of 10000 like when I did a normal bench. Wonder what the cause for that was.....

Either way, seems like older programs run worse or the same as the x1950xtx, but newer games and programs run VERY well on the 2900XT. I noticed 50-100% performance increases.

Great results man up all across the board. I do wonder what some of those reviewers where smoking when reading the results sometimes.

Added percentages to show results in an easier to understand format.

I was going to add graphs, but that could take a while. I'm going to further format the page a bit and see if I can't make it look even better.

Vixro: Noticed one thing someone cought on the other forums. 6x AA isn't natively supported by the card so it reverts to no AA :(

yes, on programs that list 2 4 6, I have chosen 6 and it showed 6 (perhaps reverted to 4 or 8x while doing the test, I'm not sure) The picture quality appeared to have AA, so I don't think it was removed.

Although, my lost coast demo looked like pure *** when I ran it at 6x, I think I will have to do that one again, it probably did go to 0 in that game.

Yeah its suppositly some glitch or something where it reverts to no AA. Just wanted to let you know.

looking good vixro, I just checked mine and I should have both my cards on thurs, my mb will be friday though:(

You were right. I reran the tests at 4x and noticed the FPS went down. I guess I had 0xAA when I tried to run 6x on the tests.

The CS:S, HL2:lost cost, HL2:ep1 scores have all been changed to reflect this.

The performance increases were much lower.

Looks like source based games or AMD needs to update the drivers a bit for older games. On newer games like Quake 4, I noticed a good boost in performance. I can't imagine how well DX10 games will run and am hoping I will have a chance to test these soons. The 3dmark06 scores were promising.

Do you have a power supply (or two) to support 4x PCIE connectors for power to the two cards?

Don't give me credit for it, guys over at XtremeSystems noticed it and mentioned it so I passed the word on. Sucks preformance is lower but mostly its probably due to driver right now.

He has the Silverstone OP 1000W. Ya I'd say he can supply the power :)

Yep, make sure any tests you ran for high quality are done at 4xAA too on your card so that your comparisons are accurate.

Yeah all mine are on 4x AA. About the highest I could go on the card without killing preformance at my res anyways hehe.

Added my conclusions about the card from a gamer, average overclocker, and with a little money to spend.

yeah, I've got a silverstone op1000, hopefully it's gonna be back from rma by the time these cards and mb get here though, :banghead:

I left programs open to give a better idea of how your performance is in a real world setting. You don't turn down all your graphics and close every program you have before you play your games (at least, I don't).

Well I sure do. Can't believe all the background crap you have running lol.

Hey, that's the point of a second monitor. If I truely ran a test, I would have kept two versions of mirc open and utorrent but I figured that wouldn't be the norm. ;)

I had about 60 processes running for the tests.

The problem with that is your results can not be used for comparing other systems to. You want to minimize the variables.
