GTX 295 $579

I'm at 1394.

I've got a $400 (pre-tax) budget for a motherboard. I'd like to spend less, but I don't want to sacrifice quality.

I absolutely need quad SLI support (only need 2 slots, but board must support quad SLI because I will add a second identical GPU in the next 3 months)

I need good overclocking support and easy overclocking, because I am a bit thick skulled. 3d gamerman on youtube said EVGA boards are good for this... Forgive my stupidity.

Ideally I'd like to be able to use my PCI Xonar soundcard on said mobo but this is not critical. Also the board should natively support 24GB but I am willing to live with 12

Please choose a motherboard for me from www.canadacomputers.com

Thanks guys :bday:

ummmm that doesn't make to much sense if your only putting one card in now and are going to put a 2nd in you only need 2 pci-e x16 2.0

quad would be for 4 video cards i doubt you will be putting 2k worth of video cards in but then again i could be wrong lol

oh and what are you doing with the old 8800gts i need a 2nd

Each 295 has 2 GPUs on it so I figured it needed 4 way SLI but Rodney Renolds (www.rodsrig.com) is using a 3way SLI board with 2 295s and it works so I guess I should be ok...

Just need to pick a mobo and I'm off to high-end-land

Glad I could help! People seemed more concerned at which brand of graphics you used, but no one answered your mobo question. :D

i would have suggested something but but it would have most likely been pushed to the side i just wanted ot be sure he was over paying for something he did not need
