I want a good/cheap joystick to fly some planes around in BF1942. I want something that isent a peace of junk but is still fairly cheap, any input aprechiated(sp?)

If you're just buying it for flying planes in BF, then you really don't need anything drastic. Go and get some Logitech Wingman/Microsoft Sidewinder at Best Buy or something, it doesn't matter too much.
But I fly better with a mouse in BF. If you take the time to learn it, it's much more precise than a joystick. I didn't have a problem at all and shot down people that used joysticks all the time. The problem may lie in your mouse, try upping the sensitivity all the way in the options or your mouse's driver. You could also look at getting a better mouse.

i recommended the logitech wingman freedom (cordless) to someone in another thread just a minute ago. I havent personally used one, but it got good reviews from what i read, and the idea of cordless appeals to me. I just looked on ebay and it looks like you can get one for under 15 bucks shipped.
