Ok a few questions:
1) What do you consider cheap?
2) Do you want a DDR board?
My opinion is that in the 150 dollar range the Abit KT7A/E can't be beat. For around a 100 bucks you can pick up an Asus A7V-E (with no on board sound). I have found both of the boards to be stable and relatively easy to learn. However, neither one of these boards are DDR. But, you are going to get a different answer from every single person that responds, so more information about what you need/want would certainly help us out.
