Need buying advise

i have recently come a cross a deal for a 40gb Barracuda III 7200rpm (ST340824A) hard drives for sale at $80. is this a good deal aprently its only a mounth old. just trying to decide weather to buy it or not.

I think it's a bad deal.

Newegg sells the more modern Seagate Barracuda IV ST340016A 40gb 7200rpm EIDE.... Thats the 4 not the 3, and guess how much? 77.00 New + 7 Dollars FedEx shipping. For 4 dollars more you could get a new drive
