Hello,
I think my BE6-II mobo series 1.0 may be hooped. I plan to try a few more things first. Recently changed cases and went from 230 w power supply to a 250 w. For some reason since installing my keyboard connection does not work and I can not enter the sub menus within the bios. Do not know if I have a short or what. Have removed the battery and reset the cmos and still no luck, final try will be removing mobo off the metal side plate and only leaving the vid card in to see if it will boot up and let me get into the bios to make settings changes, if this does not work I am stumped. Will Abit warranty the board without proof of purchase, I have been told they will.
It is very strange that the system worked fine before changing cases, and I did use the plastic washers on the bottom and top of the mobo before screwing it down to the metal backing.
I plan to buy a new mobo , I love the Abit BE6-II for the ease of soft menu and the stability. Can anyone suggest some other choices of FCPGA boards as I now use an Iwill slotket. I have given thought to Asus CUVX4-C cause of the price. I need an ISA slot so the CUSL-2 won't work
I overclock so want a good stable board that is easy to make changes in the bios. My gear is a retail PIII700, Iwill Slotket, Asus Geforce DDR Deluxe, REaltek Nic Card, Soundblaster PCI128, USR 56K ISA modem and Maxtor 27 gig ATA66 drive 7200rpm, Yamaha 8x8x24 burner , Pine CD rom drive, 2 x 128 megs PC 133 ram ( Nec and Infineon)drive.
Thanx
