need help conquering fear.

I have this problem with one person shooters> I can play games with lots of cheats in one person shooters but with them off I get really scared and feel like running to mommy LOL!!!

I have to conqur this fear becouse I need to get good at some games for lans

Cheats are evil. I used cheats and that made the game less fun, and I didnt really get any gaming skill. I stopped using cheats a while ago and noticed that I got much better in gaming, Now so many servers are anti-cheat. I play Day Of Defeat 2.0 alot now and niticed how my score is getting higher and higher day by day. Before I would be in the bottom half, now i'm in the top 3! I suggest you quit using cheats. Sorry about the length. Didnt mean to lecture or anything.

Shame on you people. cheats? bah...
then again, i used to cheat during the nintendo/sega/turbografx days but did not on pc games. I guess i grew out of it.

I still have my moments in cs, but hey... i just have to remind myself just to have fun; regardless win or lose.

just play and have fun!

dont use cheats man, i tried them out and got booted off all my favorite servers , but now since DOD 2.0 came out i quit using them and can get back on my fav servers, man i rock at that game, my personal best is 91 frags and 19 deaths, on Dod_Anzio

That’s one of the reasons my brother and sister won’t play a lot of the games I have. Muhahahaha I am never scared. Never!!.

Well, instead of dogging cheaters, I'm going to make some recommendations that'll help you get better.

First, play with other people ON A LAN. You don't have to worry about ping times on a LAN. Check out local LAN centers, unless you can setup a LAN in your house/apartment/basement/wherever. When you're with people, there's less fear, and you don't have to worry about a bad connection. ANd people screw up far more than bots.

Speaking of Bots, if you play against them, try turning down their levels, so their easier to kill. As you improve, increase their rating.

thanks I am going to try that I think my problem is that the games i am playing make you shoot aleins and stuff. Plus my speakers are like surround sound so that can kreep you out!

Ask one of your friends to train you and give you tips for LAN battles. Wa11y has the right idea. Go to a LAN and just play, plus if your with your friends then you don't need to worry about being worse.

Remember, bots are dumb. Even the hardest ones are stupid compared to human players. Humans are unpredictable while bots are more scripted.

you'll get used to it

I had the same problem. eventually, you'll get used to getting killed in the games and it won't matter anymore. at frist it may be a bit scary but remember its just a game and you will overcome that fear after getting fragged about 25 times..
