whats the differance between a radeon 8500 and a radeob 8500 le???

i dont have money for a gayforce 4 ti

I don't know about everyone else but I'm getting real tired of the constant name-calling of manufacturers, it ain't funny and it's not smart. I see enough of it over at Rage, particularly of nVidia.

Anyway, onto your point about the 8500 & 8500LE. The difference is speed. The 8500 (retail) comes in at 275/275. The LE is normally 250/250 or (in some cases) 230/230. The voltages are normally lower on the LE which can be fixed with a Mod, this can allow you to clock it higher.

dude sorry i thought it was hip to dis badge high corporations..lol.. do you have a url for that volt mod???and whats the diff. between a 7500 and 8500 ??is 7500 better than geforce 2 ti atleast??thanks for all your help

Radeon LE has a better feature set than the TI 200.. I would actually put a few more dollars into it and goto Newegg.com and spend 148.00 on the Gigabyte LE card, comes with a great bundle and a nicely done PCB board.. fastest LE at stock speeds.. comes with nice ramsinks, fan and an overclocking utility that even watches your video core and ram temps. you should be able to easily bump this up to retail speeds 275/275..

i know its probally not the best ..has any 1 heard anything on them ??picked up one with 128 mb mem .. for 80.00 brand new...hopefully it will get me ok till the newer chips come out ..thanks .wish i had 150.00 id def. get that one from newegg...i mean wow!!!!!!but i only had 100.00 in my paypal account and need one yesterday .unemployment sucks ..

if your not really using for games right now that will hold you over, I haven't seen anything bad on that company, but nothing great either... for 80.00 tho, its worth the try..

is it better than geforce 2 ti???i was getting constant reboots with that card (like brand new) put wifes mx400 and no reboots.. and when i put card in my wifes comp no reboots..so i think there is a motherboard problem with the card ..i sold my geforce for 5 dollars more than i bought it so i have 100.00 to play with ..do you think this is the best i can do with 100.00??hehe ..the box is cool enough ...lol...also is there a affirmed way of getting rid of nvidia drivers in my system ???should i do anything with anything because im switching from nvidia to ati???like redownload my agp drivers for instance?thanks bro's

http://www.hardwarepub.com/reviews/ATI Radeon 7500/index.shtml

here is a nicely done review of the 7500 to comapre to Gf2 ti200 and others.. close call..

if you do get the Radeon you will need to get a program that cleans up your system of all Det drivers.. I can't remember the name of the program off hand.. detdestroyer?? might be it..

A clean install of the os is always nice to get the most out of your card, if that is not available to do, just make sure the older drivers are gone... and when you switch between drivers with which ever card you get, you want to make sure those drivers are gone and Registry is clean when installing new ones..
