I'm in the San Francisco bay area, and I've been looking for 2x '86 chevette heater cores. GO/Dan is backordered on the part number that so many of you guys are using. GM has discontinued the part. Autozone cancelled my order, then raised the price by $10.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

it seems almost less trouble to buy one new for expensive, then to repair a pick and pull

usually don't need repair, if you're looking for a mech. part on the other hand, hose need repairing, and sometimes are flat out dead.
i got stuff for 25cent a pound
heatercore is what? 2-3 pounds?
anywho, dtek is a good suggestion
39 bucks painted, or 31 not painted
www.aquastealth.com actually sells a painted one for cheaper..
35 bucks, and the shroud at aquastealth is cheaper as well, 11 bucks
and then there's always ebay..

You can either go to a junk yard and hope to get lucky or go to D-tek where you will get lucky.

I'm sorry, but that sounds kinda dirty. Kinda like the difference between dating, and calling an escort service, if you know what I mean. ;)
