Okay, I honestly dont know what's going on..i think i've got it down to the MB or HDD (possible virus). well when i'm playing bf3 my pc has (hickups) very often..meaning it'll cruise at 60fps on a custom ultra/high settings with SSAO and Motion blur off. and it just out of nowhere it freezes for a small moment and drops down to 20 fps or less and it holds for about 1-2 seconds and makes it's way back up to 60fps rather quickly but it is very very frustrating as it makes doing almost anything impossible in the game due to the consistency of the (hickups)...any ideas?

I believe you have to have at least 10 posts to have a sig.

Feel free to just post them up. What you may be experiencing could be referred to microstutter. Without knowing your CPU, it may be worth looking into disabling Hyperthreading in the BIOS (if your CPU supports it) to see if it resolves the issue.

I personally have a similar issue, but it started happening with all multiplayer games that I've been playing about a month ago where I get severe packet loss and it seems like really big lag spikes (I run in place for a second or two and appear forward where I would have been going).

Cooler Master Storm Sniper, AMD Phenom IIx4 955 BE, EVGA Nvidia Geforce GTX 560Ti SC, GIGABYTE GA-880GM-USB3, OCZ 700W PSU, Western Digital Caviar Black 1tb HDD, A-Data DDR3 1600 2x2gb is what im running right now.

and im pretty sure the cpu doesnt have hyperthreading lol

yep you are correct, didn't know if you had AMD or Intel. Are you running the latest videocard drivers?

Your computer is more than capable that's for sure. It has to be something on the BF3 side, because I have an old pc that runs most games (99 %) on low settings just fine but when I try to play BF3, I get the same hicups and a very bad voice echo. BF3 is the reason I want to upgrade my computer but people are saying the game sucks. I know some one mentioned make sure you are not in power save mod when playing. Not sure that would help but just thought I would throw that out there.

I can not play play BF3, not even on the lowest of lowest of everything
