Take the same amount of money, get the antec 300, which is bleh by comparison but gets the job done, and get the Phenom 1055 or 1090T. 2 extra cpu cores.

Your going to love your ripjaws. Mine have been fantastic thus far. Also I would maybe check out the 750gb version of the caviar black for your hdd. Same thing just a little more storage for ten more dollars.

I took the advice nd got to phenom 1055 but not the antec 300 cuz I dont like it. instead im getting the 600

Can someone explain what is cache on a hdd?

cache is temp. memory. the fastest of the fast. chache is lvl1 memory, the fastest, smallest amount but more expensive.

so you would like the most amount of cache for the best possible price. find a median of that and you will be fine :)

Tbh I'm not entirely sure you would notice the speed difference, maybe if you were transferring massive files or something, that said I would still go for the WD Black just for the reliability of a high quality drive.

At the end of the day it's gonna come down to your budget.

Im a newbie at this and just want to make sure the mobo and the gpu are compatable im pretty sure but not 100%
