Hey everyone,

It's been a good while since I've posted in the forums; however, I'm back once again seeking advice.

I recently got two studio monitors and they're connected to the old and crappy soundcard I have in my PC. My initial plan was to purchase a small audio interface to use for my two studio monitors. Upon further thought, I figured that I'd like to have some expand-ability. In the future I'd like to add a subwoofer, and a few more speakers at most. I've looked at some higher end and larger audio interfaces but they mostly come with support for boat loads of instruments and an eye towards music producers and the sort. I myself sometimes like to record a guitar or some vocals on a mic and mess around with some DAWS like Ableton and Logic but I am by no means someone who is running a studio with several instruments, at most just one mic for my guitar/vocals.

Maybe someone can recommend a decent audio interface that can achieve my desire of being able to expand to a larger speaker setup in the future while not having such a wide variety of features that I probably won't utilize (except for the previously mentioned mic).

Or perhaps it is not an audio interface that I'm looking for? It seems that they mostly cater towards those who are serious about producing. I'm not very knowledgeable about this topic, hopefully you guys can help me out. :)
