a friend of mine lost a 7 page paper she had saved on a floppy. its due tomorrow afternoon, and she doesnt have time to retype it. when you try to open the disk from my computer, it says the disk is either not formatted, or it is formatted for a mac. i have the disk, and i ran a program called badcopy on it. it pulled 7 files from the disk, but none of them are her paper. one of the files is 1.3megs, but when you open it, it is only half a page of text. i think her paper could be stuck in there somewhere, but i dont know how to get it, nor do i have the software. if someone could please help, i would really appreciate it. thank you.

is the floppy a used one, i.e. she didn't pull it right out of the package?

if so, floppys do die. it just happened at an inconvenient time.
