Case 1:

I would have it modded to have an exhaust fan on top and an intake on the side.

Case 2:

this one would be minus a power supply

These are just the cases at one store. I am looking to spend up to $135 or so. I would like a case with 5+ fans and about 10 bays (4x5.25 2x3.5 external and 4x3.5 internal)
I really appreciate the help.

I suggest you check out Pricewatch . You'll find a large variety of cases.

That's not a bad deal (the second one). That's pretty much standard cooling already done.
For $133 not including the psu shipped, with 5 fans and filter, is not a bad deal at all.

I'd get one myself, but I already have a server cube

By the way, you're not a dork, you just forgot where you were for a second...wait till you get old!
