I really like LCD monitors, especially for their portability. I have seen a couple guys LAN gaming with them. I want to know about their ability to handle video and high speed gaming. I know that I can look at the refresh rate of CRT monitors and the higher the better. Something tells me that it is not an apples to apples comparison with LCD's though. Do refresh rates even apply to LCD's? Can they handle fast stuff? Are there are weaknesses to LCD's besides price? (Price has nothing to do with this.)

Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Some of the lower quality LCD's show some motion blure, but i dont know how bad it is. The biggest disadvantage is that they only really work well in one resolution because they have fixed pixels. They can run other resolutions, but they have to either stretch the image, or make it take up less of the screen. Again, im not sure how much the image streching shows in gaming. A friend of mine has a 17in KDS LCD, but iv never gamed on it. Maybe someday i can borrow it to see what its like.

LCD monitors are poor for games, if you do a lot of gaming i wouldn't buy one
What i like about them is that they look great and emit very little radiation
