B4 I get flamed......
I got a Tekram board w/ Via Chipset
Goto Board Specs on Tekram

I'm currently runing a Cel FCPGA @ 874 w/ the FSB pumped up to 84 or so. I can't mod the chip's Multiplier in this BIOS, and I also have been unable to find a .pll for this bisaneatch either due to lack of looking in teh right places or being SOL. ( I got such a good price on this rig, I had to take a shot at it). The Cel is not OEM--it's original Intel Boxed, so the CPU database says I can hit 1Ghz.

I guess the ? of the day is----
Any rec's on trying to use this mobo---I've squeaked all I can out of the bios.

OR,
is your vote to tank the TEKRAM, and go with another.....any rec's would be appreciated.

BTW--I've got her cooled to the max right now too :)

1. You won't change the multiplier in any BIOS. Intel chips are irreversibly locked.
2. The CPU database doesn't say that you can hit 1Ghz - it shows examples of other people hitting 1Ghz.
3. You haven't detailed the base speed of the chip or stepping. If it's a 633, 667 or 700 you have very little chance of hitting 100Mhz FSB.
4. Have you upped the voltage of the processor ?
5. Are you using a GOOD cooler ? And by good I do not mean Golden Orb - I mean like FOP32 or Alpha or Taisol or similar.
6. You must appreciate that using a nasty motheboard severley hampers your chances of overclocking the chip to it's full potential due to the cheap components used in its manufacture. They tend to be very poor at power regulation and are ill capacitated.

.....just a few pointers for you to look at
