Hi guys,
I am currently running my 1GHz Athlon Tbird at 1150 with auto voltage. My hsf is a Globalwin WBK with the 38cfm fan and using Arctic Silver2. It is in an IWill KK266 and is running 384 of Mushkin High Perf cas 2 ram, with a Herculese Prophet Geforce2 GTS 64 Mb video card, and SB Live Value sound. No modem and cheap *** nic card.
I need some help to get it any higher.
I tried 1.2gig on auto and it wouldn't post. I then tried it at 1.8volts and it ran ok for web surfing etc, but when I fired up Counterstrike it locked up tight.
I need to know stuff like what voltages are stock?
What is the relationship between voltage and how high it can go? Do I just crank it up or is there some type of formula I should stick to?
What memory settings do you use, and which ones make a difference to overclocking? Will it help to turn down the memory settings, and what is the trade off?
I have been leaving fsb alone, and only changing the multiplyer. Should I try both, or will that create a new set of problems?
I guess that is it for now. Any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.
