Need opinion about matched stepping

Is matched stepping important? Anybody experienced that a system with different batch numbers cpus were different in any way compared to a system with same batch number cpus?

It depends on the type of system.
With AMD MPs no problems.
P4 Xeons no problems.
P3 non Xeons. Coppermines had stepping concerns.

It really doesnt make a difference with XPs. Hck you could even use two different speed chips.

Just make sure you unlock them if you use XPs.

It shouldnt matter with MPs though.

It wouldn't matter when it comes to just using them...it will only matter when Overclocking them since some steppings are better than others
